Tasked with building the market-leading GMAT testing app, our team went to extremes on the backend and frontend. Our client's design required a UI/UX outside of the standard iOS SDK, so we created from scratch slide-rule sliders, progress meters, slot machine spinners and other custom elements. On the backend, we allowed users to create on-the-fly custom exams based on GMAT-standard type, topic, level and time. We built complex algorithms to "learn" each user's abilities, progressively making each question harder/easier based on whether they answered the previous question correctly/incorrectly, all while never showing them a duplicate question.
